Time away from everyday responsibilities to explore what matters to you, understand familiar patterns, and experience yourself differently.

Private, experiential intensives for women in Costa Rica.

Different kind of retreat

There are times when your life feels like too much to “solve.”

You may be questioning a relationship, reconsidering what you want, noticing familiar patterns, or finding yourself at a point in life where the old ways don’t feel right anymore.

Personal Intensives offer several days of uninterrupted time for reflection, somatic awareness, parts exploration, and experiential work.

There is no fixed curriculum and no expectation that you arrive with everything figured out. We begin with what matters to you and allow the experience to develop from there.

Experience shaped around you

There is no fixed agenda. We begin with what matters to you, allowing time to explore your questions, relationships, familiar patterns, and what you may be ready to change.

Beyond talking about it

Somatic awareness, IFS-inspired parts exploration, and experiential practices invite you to notice and experience things that intellectual understanding alone may not change.

Time to go deeper

Several days together offer the opportunity to stay with what emerges, without the usual hour-long limits or week-long gaps between conversations.

Space for reflection and integration

Time for conversation, personal reflection, and simply being with what you discover. The experience unfolds at a pace that leaves room for new understanding and meaningful choices.

What we explore together

Your retreat is shaped around you. We might spend time with:

Identity

Who you’ve learned to be, what still fits, what doesn’t anymore, and who you might be becoming.

Relationships

Closeness, conflict, responsibility, resentment, independence, belonging, desire, boundaries and what you want your relationships to feel like now.

Self-trust

The distance between knowing something and trusting yourself enough to take what you know seriously.

Transitions

Relationships changing. Children growing. Career questions. Midlife. Loss. Relocation. Beginning again. Or the quieter realization that the life you’ve built no longer fits in the same way.

Wanting

Not only what you should do next, but what you actually want from your relationships, days, creativity, work and the next part of your life.

The parts of you that haven’t had much room

The angry part, ambitious or creative part. The quiet one, or the strange part. The selfish part. That part of you who wants something entirely different than you wanted ten years ago.

There is something different about having several days together.

We might begin with a conversation about something that has been on your mind for years. As we explore, other things may emerge like a familiar reaction, unexpected feelings, or a part of yourself you have not paid much attention to.

There is time to stay curious, to notice what happens in your body, to explore what feels important, and to take a break when you need one.

Some moments may bring insight. Others may simply give you space to feel something you have not had time for.

We do not need to fill every moment. The experience is shaped by what unfolds between us.

How Our Days Together Unfold

Each intensive is shaped around you. There is no rigid schedule or predetermined outcome. These three days offer a natural rhythm, with time for exploration, reflection, and integration. What follows is an example of how our time together might unfold.

Day One — Arriving & Getting Curious

We begin by getting to know where you are in your life right now and what brought you here.

There is time to settle in, talk about what matters to you, and begin noticing the feelings, questions, and patterns that may be asking for your attention.

We move slowly enough to let the experience develop naturally, without needing to figure everything out on the first day.

Day Two — Exploring More Deeply

With more time together, we can explore what is emerging through conversation, somatic awareness, and IFS-inspired experiential practices.

We might notice familiar ways of responding, explore different parts of yourself, or become curious about feelings and needs that have been difficult to access.

There is room to follow what feels meaningful rather than rushing toward an answer.

Day Three — Making Space for What Comes Next

Our final day is an opportunity to reflect on what you have discovered and what it might mean for your life beyond these few days.

We explore what feels different, what still needs attention, and how you might bring these experiences into your relationships, decisions, and everyday life.

There is no pressure to leave with everything resolved. Sometimes what matters most is having a different relationship with the questions themselves.

Private intensives are not psychotherapy

Personal Intensives are offered separately from my psychotherapy practice. They are non-clinical experiences centered on self-exploration, reflection, personal growth and experiential practice. Although my years of experience as a psychotherapist deeply inform how I listen, ask questions and create space, I am not acting as your therapist during your private intensive. Personal Intensives do not include diagnosis or treatment of mental health conditions and do not establish a therapist-client relationship. If you’re seeking treatment for anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma or another mental health concern, psychotherapy may be a more appropriate option.
